Our Purpose
The African American Legacy Corps celebrates and uplifts the contributions of designers, performers, and leaders of color in the drum corps community. We honor the legacy of historic all-Black corps while building an inclusive space where everyone is welcomed, inspired, and empowered to create and perform.
Our vision
We envision a drum corps community where the creativity, leadership, and cultural heritage of people of color are fully recognized and celebrated. By uplifting historic legacies and empowering new voices, we strive to inspire a future in which diversity fuels artistic excellence, representation is the norm, and every performer feels a true sense of belonging.
Our mission
To give the opportunity to be apart of a performance ensemble that celebrates the contributions of African Americans to the Drum Corps community.
